Russian Gastronomy Weeks (RGW) is a project on promotion the gastronomy culture of Russia in foreign countries, which is implemented since 2015

by the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy (ICWAG, Moscow), headed by its President Leonid Gelibterman.

In 2018, the Russian Gastronomy Week was held abroad for the fourth time. Thus, in 2015 RGW was hosted in Madrid (Spain), in 2016 — in Madrid and Barcelona (Spain), in 2017 — in Nicosia and Limassol (Cyprus).

Please find the archives of RGW projects 2015-2017 in a special chapter of the site.

In 2018, the Russian Gastronomy Week took place in the Greek Republic, in Athens and Kerkyra (Corfu), in the official framework of the Cross-year of tourism "Russia-Greece".

The concept of Russian gastronomic weeks is aimed at:
  • strengthening cultural and business ties between the participating countries,

  • popularization of the participating countries as the attractive tourist destinations with demonstration of their tourist potential,

  • presentation of Russian national cuisine, regional food and beverages to foreign audiences,

  • drawing attention to regional investment projects in the hospitality industry,

  • promoting the growth of trade turnover between the participating countries, exports of food, beverages and services.

Russian Gastronomy Weeks (RGN) invariably receive the most positive feedback from the officials of the participating countries, business representatives, heads of professional organizations, opinion makers, experts and the general audience. RGW events are widely covered in Russian and foreign media of various profiles and formats (please see "Publications").
